This business was created with family in mind, as the owner first began cooking as a young child with his grandmother, Carmen, who owned a small restaurant to own along with her family and to serve the community. Wanting to spread that same spirit of authentic Colombian home cooking with grandma, Build Your Own Arepa strives to always create a comfortable setting, and a satisfying experience for their hungry guests.

Build Your Own Arepa uses 100% fresh ingredients, and is always made to order. For those who may not know, arepas originated in South America and is made from corn cakes instead of bread. Customize your own by first choosing a type of meat for your arepa, such as shredded chicken, pork belly, or beef, and from there you’ll choose your toppings and choice of sauce.
