The Carnivale truck believes everyone in Chicago deserves a five star meal, whether you’re in a fancy restaurant or sitting on the curb. Same difference, from their point of view. And the rich, diverse menu reflects this – not just in range of size (as light as salads to as serious as paella and skirt steak) but in range of options, from gluten free to vegan to several considerations in between.
It’s also one of the few food trucks in town with three full, separate menus. Lunch brings sandwiches and a light assortment of big plates, while dinner pulls out all the stops, including paella. Paella’s a stop now. Definitely stop for this paella. And if it’s Sunday morning, stop for brunch as well, with rotating dishes and permanent happiness. It’s a restaurant experience so good you’ll feel weird eating it all on the street – until you don’t. Which, really, is sort of the whole point.
